Paradise Island - Elly Heise

This exhibition encourages us to reflect on the spaces where memories and extensions of ourselves reside. There is an increasing dependency on technology to record, store, and act in place of our own perceptions and capabilities. I hope that through my exhibition “Paradise Island” viewers will consider their relationship with memory and spaces, as well as the potential effects the information age has on us. The artworks suggest a space somewhere between psychological and physical, a membrane between the physical world and the imaginative. I see “Paradise Island” as a culmination of my efforts to navigate and communicate this ever-changing relationship.
